The unique half-moon museum along Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road is finally nearing completion. Named the Museum of the Future, the stunning structure covers 30,000 square meters and is 77 meters high. The façade has a futuristic steel with illuminated Arabic calligraphy which is created of 1,024 robot-made pieces.
The museum will have seven floors of exhibition space and will be powered by 4,000 megawatts of solar electricity. “The Museum of the Future” is a global architectural icon that shows that human miracles are possible. It will play an instrumental role in our efforts to shape a better future”, Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum said during the ceremony. “We are always seeking to push the boundaries of excellence and leadership”, he added.
