Made in Italy and Japanese culture meet in the new Dolce&Gabbana x Jujutsu Kaisen Special Collection, creating a new synergy between art and style. The universe of Jujutsu Kaisen, which has become very popular in Japanese culture, has inspired Dolce&Gabbana to create a new – but in keeping with the DNA of the brand – Special Collection. Dolce&Gabbana’s vision meets the Japanese creative universe, from Mix&Match to the street style aesthetic of Tokyo’s many vibrant and modern districts, including Shibuya and Harajuku. The seemingly distant creative universes of sartorial craftsmanship and pop culture are uniquely intertwined in this collection, presenting a new form of beauty. The symbols and stylistic elements that can be traced back to the personalities of the various characters are embodied in clothes and accessories with a distinct personality. The collection presents a particular genderless aesthetic: cotton and jersey T-shirts and sweatshirts are combined with nylon jackets. All of them are personalised with screen printing, digital 3D prints and ideograms, symbols of the Japanese universe. All these elements create tactile play and three-dimensional thickness. Anime art and the innovative spirit of the younger generations are combined with the Italian production tradition. The collection creates new links between fashion and art, culture and lifestyle. The special Dolce&Gabbana x Jujutsu Kaisen collection will be available in selected boutiques in Japan from the end of April.
The collection is sold in Japan exclusively through e-commerce, as well as in pop-ups and pop-ins specially created for the project.
