The impossible is possible – Kim Kardashian proved this the day before, taking the stage with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana at the end of their new collection at Milan Fashion Week. This creative alliance could be called incredible because a few years ago the designers publicly questioned Kim’s sense of style. But time has put everything in its place. And now, they themselves are already twirling Kim on the runway to the rapturous applause of the guests.
New Dolce & Gabbana collection, which Kim curated, was inspired by the star’s personal wardrobe. More specifically, the hundreds of rarity brand dresses that Kardashian has collected over the years. The fact that the designs of these outfits are still relevant today, Kim proved at her sister Kourtney’s wedding by dressing herself and her other sisters in vintage. This impressed not only Kim’s thousands of followers on social media, but also the famous designer duo. Thus was born a new collection of spring-summer 2023 in which Dolce and Gabbana have chosen the most spectacular images from their archives, and Kim diluted them with her favorite trends – tight corsets, animalistic prints and chockers with her name. Models stepped out in outfits from the collection, which was dubbed ‘Ciao, Kim’, to a televised film starring Kim Kardashian. In the black and white video, Kim ate spaghetti mouth-wateringly.
The Italian accent was a success – the audience gave a standing ovation in the finale. Other guests included Kim’s children, her mum Kris Jenner with Corey Gamble, and Kim’s sister Khloe with her daughter, as well as Ashley Graham, Alessandra Ambrosio and long-time Dolce & Gabbana muse Monica Belucci, who sat in the front row alongside Eva Herzigova, Bianca Balti and Helena Christensen.
