In addition to Dior, the Saint Laurent brand presented its creations in the French capital. Anthony Vaccarello chose the traditional venue for the show – Trocadero Square with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The models paraded under the open sky on the Trocadero’s marble stairs.
The Spring-Summer 2023 collection put a lot of emphasis on the favoured silhouettes: broad shoulders, high waistline and nude dresses for very tall and slender girls, contrary to the trend for a variety of looks. And while there were many classic shades (black, beige), the overall palette of brown, purple, beige, olive tones was more reminiscent of autumn than spring.
The House’s creative director managed to lure Carla Bruni, Kate Moss, Zoe Kravitz, Hailey Bieber, Shalom Harlow, Anya Rubik, Eva Herzigova, Amber Valletta, Rossi de Palma and the princess of Thailand, the only daughter of King Rama X and Sujarini Vivacharavongse named Sirivannavari Nariratana to the show. Kate Moss, by the way, attended the show with her fiancé Nikolai von Bismarck.
