Art jewellery house Fabergé has collaborated with Game of Thrones to immortalise the fantasy emblems of the series. The concept and design was developed by an award-winning team including Game of Thrones costume designer Michelle Clapton, Fabergé head of design Liisa Tallgren and Fabergé creative director Josina von dem Boucher-Kessel. The exciting collaboration began with the release of a Game of Thrones one-off art piece in April 2021 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series, which sold for $2.2 million.
The success of the special partnership meant it was only right to give collectors what they were asking for: an entire jewellery collection that would draw on the charms of Game of Thrones.
The first chapter of the collection, Dragons, features five designs – each limited to just ten pieces – inspired by Daenerys Targaryen’s journey, her beloved dragons and her quest for the Iron Throne.
The gorgeous pieces include a transformable egg-shaped pendant, dragon-tail earrings, transformable cuffs and choker, and a transformable bracelet and ring set with rubies, diamonds and sapphires. To capture the power and fiery spirit of Daenerys, Fabergé uses coloured stones from responsible sources alongside white gold, diamonds and black rhodium. There are three more chapters to come, but the House is keeping them secret until 2023.
