The Swiss watch brand L`Duchen has launched a new collection which will surely appeal to art lovers. The Art Collection watches are painted in lacquer miniatures from the 18th century and are therefore unique art objects in their own right. Painting on the finest gold or silver foil requires at least 80 hours of work, during which the artist gradually applies more than 10 layers of lacquer and paint in three stages.
Birds of prey, alpine landscapes, cosmic fantasies, brutal skulls – the authors of unique pieces of Art Collection address different subjects and also create images according to the client’s ideas.
Thus, vintage decorative techniques in the new range are combined with reliable Swiss movements. To recap, the modern history of the L’Duchen brand began in 2004 with the creation of its first mechanical watch. In 2012, the company debuted at Baselworld.
