Each year Bvlgari creates a new fine jewellery collection, with the latest one being dedicated to the Garden of Eden. The pieces from the new line can be admired in the new picture book titled ‘Garden of Wonders’.
The album is divided into three chapters – ‘Colours of Blooming’, ‘Glorious Nature’ and ‘Wonders of Joy’. The richly illustrated book also includes sketches and artistic references to iconographic themes of nature. The sensual illustrations are accompanied by poetry on the same theme from different eras and from around the world – from Verlaine to Vita Sackville-West and Emily Dickinson, from Federico GarcĂa Lorca to Haju Kermani.
The Garden of Wonders was produced by journalist Simone Marchetti, director of Vanity Fair Italia; Lucia Silvestri, creative director of jewellery at Bulgari; and the avant-garde photographer Guy Sok Cho from Seoul. Their fruitful collaboration has resulted in the perfect addition to the jewellery connoisseur’s library.
For the first time in the brand’s history, more than 30 pieces in the collection, including the luxurious Tribute to Paris necklace and Emerald Glory tiara, are crafted from emeralds, considered a symbol of Bvlgari since the 1960s.
For this collection, Bvlgari’s jewelers have been no stranger to experimenting with colour, mixing the label’s signature chromatic palette with extravagant, yet elegant, hues. The brand’s craftsmen have combined high design with an austere, architectural approach to create a unique blend of sophistication and comfort.
Inspired by nature and floral motifs, the creators of Bvlgari Eden The Garden of Wonders have given the imagination an endless expanse, turning each piece into a true work of art.
