Rihanna, pregnant with their second child, and rapper A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Myers) showed off their son for the first time on the pages of a glossy publication. The celebrity parents and their adorable baby boy were featured on the cover of the March issue of British Vogue. The photo shoot took place by the ocean, with fashion tandem Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin responsible for the images. The exclusive photos were accompanied by an in-depth interview with the pop diva.
In a dialogue with Vogue, Rihanna elaborated on her son (however, the star never revealed his name), motherhood, her Super Bowl performance and her own style. The singer said the birth of her first child was the most amazing thing that had ever happened to her.
“I can’t believe it…Basically, I went from one person to two. You come into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s crazy. And, oh, my God, those first few days are insane. You don’t sleep. At all. Even if you want to. We came home scalded. It was just us, the parents, and our baby.”
Rihanna also complained about the pesky paparazzi who have literally been hounding her since her son was born, trying to get pictures of him.
“We, as parents, decide when and how to present the baby to the world. Throw me to the wolves. Do what you want with me. But my son can’t answer yet. So far we have protected him and you have no right to post or sell pictures of my minor child,” the star said.
The pop diva, who is considered almost the trendsetter of the generation, has been instilling a sense of style in her son since he was young. However, his father also keeps up with his beloved and often appears in public in non-trivial outfits.
“I like to dress him in clothes that don’t look like children’s clothes. He has a miniature version of one of A$AP Rocky’s outfits.”
Rihanna and her lover are now preparing to become parents again. The singer revealed her second pregnancy during her grand performance at the Super Bowl. The couple’s first child was born in May last year, but it wasn’t until December that they showed their son to the public for the first time.
