An important event has taken place in the life of the daughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan. Princess Iman has become the wife of businessman Jamil Alexander Tarmiotis. The heiress met her lover while studying in the USA. The ceremony took place at the Beit Al Urdon Palace in the Jordanian capital of Amman. The event was televised on state-run television stations.
Iman opted for a traditional white attire. She chose a tight-fitting dress with a transparent fishnet bodice and a floor-length skirt with a train. The princess’s head was covered by a long veil with hand embroidery. For the ceremony she wore a magnificent diamond tiara, which belonged to her mother.
After the formal part, the guests headed to the main hall for the banquet. A huge wedding cake several metres high and decorated with fresh flowers was baked for them. The broadcast was then stopped to allow the bride and groom and their guests to celebrate in private.
Princess Iman is the second child of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. She is joined by three other children: Prince Hussain, 28, (heir to the throne), Princess Salma, 22, and Prince Hashim, 18. Iman had been dating her chosen one for several years before announcing her engagement in December last year. The upcoming wedding was announced by Queen Rania.
“Your smile has always been a gift of love that I have treasured since the day you were born. Wishing you and Jamil a life full of love and laughter!” – informed the royal.
