Singer Beyonce was the heroine of the April issue of the French version of Vogue magazine. The pop diva appeared on the cover of the issue wearing one of the outfits from her new collaborative collection with Balmain. The singer created a couture collection inspired by her Renaissance album, released last year, with creative director Olivier Rousteing.
There are 16 outfits in the range. Each of them corresponds to one of the songs from the album. According to the designer, the collaboration started spontaneously. He just started sketching while listening to ‘Renaissance’ and couldn’t stop.
“I started linking those sketches to the album, changing them depending on the melody and lyrics. I didn’t intend to do that at all, but I was inspired by the music.”
After creating a few dozen sketches, Olivier contacted Beyoncé and offered to work together on a clothing collection. The singer was surprised, but happily agreed.
“I am very grateful to Balmain and Olivier Rousteing for bringing Renaissance to couture. Designing together has been a real liberation,” Beyoncé wrote on social media, where she shared a photo of herself and the fashion designer together.
Earlier, it was revealed that Beyoncé will embark on an international concert tour with her new album ‘Renaissance’. It’s the singer’s first solo shows of this scale since 2016. The singer was last on the Formation world tour with the record of the same name six years ago.
