On the eve of Charles III’s coronation, his first heir, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, had a really busy day. The Prince and Princess of Wales appeared at a reception with the governors general and prime ministers, who arrived at Buckingham Palace to honour the King and Queen Consort Camilla on the eve of the historic day. The 74-year-old Charles himself was also in attendance and in high spirits.
During the pre-coronation dinner party, the Welsh were spotted with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins and other political elites. Notably, Kate chose a bespoke Jenny Packham gown for the meeting – the same one she wore for the fleeting reunion with Harry and Meghan during last year’s mourning for Elizabeth II, only not in black but in white with contrasting details.
Princess Catherine complemented her laconic outfit with a sense of meaning with Aquazzura suede pumps and Queen Elizabeth pearl earrings. Prince William stuck to his black suit and classic shirt, but this time with a blue satin tie with a pattern.
