Even monarchs sometimes like to change their image. Princess Charlene of Monaco decided to experiment with her hair and dyed it from ash blonde to dark brown. The 45-year-old Charlene made her Formula 1 Grand Prix debut in Monaco on Sunday 28 May.
The new colour highlighted Charlene’s outfit, a navy blue flying floor-length dress decorated with pleated multicoloured ribbons by the brand AKRIS. She completed her cruise outfit with navy blue suede Dior pumps and stylish Prada sunglasses. Charlene’s husband Prince Albert, who was also in attendance, opted for a dark blazer, beige trousers and a patterned tie.
It was in this look that Charlene presented the award to second-placed Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso. The 80th annual Monaco Grand Prix was attended by international celebrities including Charlotte Casiraghi, granddaughter of Grace Kelly, Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas, Orlando Bloom, Tom Holland, James Marsden, Tommy Hilfiger and many others.
