Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the Golden Nymph award ceremony during the Monte Carlo Film Festival. The event was also attended by the Princess’ nephew Louis Ducret and his wife Marie, Hollywood actors Josh Duhamel, John Goodman, Melissa Gilbert, Timothy Busfield and others.
For the appearance, Charlene chose a navy blue floor-length dress by Akris. The Princess completed the look with a necklace and earrings with white diamonds. The Golden Nymph Prize was established by Prince Rainier III in 1961. It is awarded to the winners of the Monaco Television Festival – the best television programmes and actors from around the world.
This year, the jury broke the rules and awarded a special prize to a young actor. It usually goes to a film or series rather than to an individual. The 17-year-old French actor Timi-Joy Marbaux won the award for his role in the television film ” Le Colosse aux Pieds d’Argile” about the childhood of the famous rugby player Sebastien Bouillat. The Golden Nymph for Best TV Series went to the British show “Ten Pound Pommies”. The project tells the story of the British people who joined Australia after the war thinking they will have happier days there. The show’s lead actor Warren Brown also won an award for his male role.
