A ceremony was held at Wimbledon Centre Court. The event was dedicated to world number one singles player Roger Federer of Switzerland. Kate Middleton came to support the athlete, as well as to watch some matches.
The Princess of Wales chose a mint green blazer from Balmain’s 2021 collection for her outing. It cost £1,950. The look was completed with Mulberry shoes and clutch, a Sezane pearl bracelet and Shyla earrings. This year event sponsor Evian asked guests to dress “wisely and with care for the environment”, opting for clothing made from recycled materials or a favourite that has been in their wardrobe for a long time.
The Princess of Wales watched the ceremony with tennis player Laura Robson. They were also among the spectators during the game between Katie Boulter and Daria Saville. However, the organisers interrupted the match due to heavy rain. After the game resumed, Kate joined Roger Federer and his wife Miroslava Wawrinec.
