The 43-year-old Macaulay Culkin has finally received his star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. At the opening ceremony, the actor held back tears. And there were several important reasons. More precisely – important people who supported Macaulay on this significant day for him. One of them – actress Catherine O’Hara, who played in the famous film Kevin McCallister’s mum, the character, thanks to which Culkin became famous. The touching family reunion comes almost 30 years after the release of Home Alone 2.
“Macaulay, congratulations. You’ve earned your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And thank you for calling me, your “mum” who left you home alone not once but twice, to share this happy occasion with you. I’m so proud of you!” – O’Hara said.
Culkin himself noted that the joy of the moment would not have been complete without his own family – fiancée Brenda Song and their two sons, who were attending a public event with their famous father for the first time. Speaking to the crowd, Macaulay addressed his beloved.
“You are absolutely everything to me. You are my champion. To me, you are the only person who is happier than me today. You’re the best woman I’ve ever known, you’re the best person I’ve ever known. You gave me the meaning of life. You gave me a family.”
