Cult band No Doubt, which became known worldwide thanks to the hit “Don’t Speak”, will reunite to perform at a trendy summer festival in California. Fans rejoice: the reunion was announced on Tuesday, 16 January. The singer, who has had a successful solo career, posted a poster with the official confirmation on her personal blog.
Vocalist Gwen Stefani, guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Canale and drummer Adrian Young also shared a hilarious video from their Zoom online conference. The rock band last performed together nearly 10 years ago, in 2015.
No Doubt formed in 1986 in Anaheim, California, but didn’t release their eponymous debut album until 1992. The band was founded by Gwen’s brother Eric Stefani, who played keyboards, and the late John Spence, who was originally the band’s lead vocalist, with Gwen on backing vocals.
The band’s third studio album “Tragic Kingdom” (1995) and the title single “Just A Girl” helped the team achieve massive success. After five albums and two Grammys, No Doubt shocked fans when they took their first break in 2004.
That’s when Gwen Stefani released her debut solo album, “Love. Angel. Music. Baby.” Over the course of her long solo career, she has sold more than 60 million records worldwide. She is a three-time Grammy winner and has a total of 18 nominations.
