For every person, the way he or she looks is of utmost importance. An attractive person attracts the eyes of both men and women. Each of us dreams of being the most attractive and charming. Someone is fortunate by nature, which endowed with luxurious hair, a beautiful figure, refined facial features. However, the gifts of nature is easy to lose, if you do not make efforts to preserve them. And, on the contrary, it is possible to multiply what nature gave us, even if it was not too generous to us.
Dr. Mohamed Hussein Abouhadeed is a MD Consultant & Lecturer of Dermatology, Aesthetics & Laser and Member of American & European Academies of Dermatology. We have talked to Dr. Mohamed Hussein Abouhadeed about his way in dermatology and aesthetics, trends in the beauty industry and have found out when it is better to start visiting a dermatologist.
1. Which of the services you provide are the most popular?
When it comes to aesthetic medical services, I would say that botulinum toxin (Botox) injections are very popular with men and women who are seeking a more relaxed and refreshed look, especially in the forehead area, frown lines and expression lines around the eyes. Along with other procedures such as fillers, collagen biostimulators, skin tightening, peels, machines and various types of lasers.
2. What makes you a unique consultant?
Hahahahahaha, I honestly can’t say that or rate myself, but I would say that I always try to cater all my medical, aesthetic dermatology or laser cases with the latest advancements in the field, giving each client the best service possible.
3. What trends and developments in the beauty industry in Dubai can you highlight?
Dubai is considered the centre of aesthetics and beauty in the Middle East. Both doctors and patients are always looking for trendy names and services such as foxy eyes, open eyes technique or Nefertiti neck or similar trendy names to attract attention. I believe that we should not follow trends, we should follow what is best for each individual case to give the best results and outcomes.
4. Do you think self-development is important? What does it provide?
Definitely, self-development is very important, it is what I am always doing, travelling all over the world, attending the best congresses and participating in the best trainings to always be up to date with the latest advances in the medical, aesthetic and laser industry to provide state of the art services and make my patients always happy.
5. Please tell us about your journey in dermatology and aesthetics. Why did you choose this particular field of work?
After graduating from medical school, I obtained residency, master’s and doctoral degrees in dermatology and aesthetics, as well as membership in the European and American Academies of Dermatology. I am very passionate about dermatology and aesthetics, I believe that all ages and both genders need dermatology and aesthetics throughout their lives. It is a great feeling to help people feel better about themselves and look better.
6. Have men started coming to you more often for procedures? What is the current trend in the beauty industry for men?
Of course, men are coming to me for treatments much more often than they used to, botulinum toxin is still at the top of the list, but since a clear and defined jawline and chin line is one of the beauty parameters for men, it is very trendy for them now.
7. Do you prefer to see a medical dermatology or aesthetic dermatology patient and why?
As I said before, I really love to cater to all patients who come to me for consultation, both medial and aesthetic dermatology. There is nothing better than making my patients happier and improving their quality of life.
8. At what age is it better to start seeing a dermatologist?
Dermatology is for all ages, your skin is the largest organ in your body and it always reflects what is going on inside your body. I always advise that when you see any changes in your skin or hair, dryness, oiliness, pigmentation, wrinkles, hair loss or breakage, you should definitely see a doctor and the earlier the better.
We thank Dr. Mohamed for the interview, we wish him to achieve all his goals, and also make the world a better place with his profession and creativity.
