Zendaya and her stylist Lowe Roach continue to outdo themselves. This time around, they’ve gone for perhaps the most unusual dress the actress has worn in recent memory. Custom-made and hand-embroidered with thousands of rhinestones, the creation of Greek designer Celia Kritharioti is a copy of the poster of the film “Challengers”. It hit the big screens last Friday.
On social media, Roach shared photos where the outfit can be seen in detail. One of them shows the manufacturing process, while another shows Zendaya in a glittery long-sleeved dress with an image of tennis star Tasha Duncan, whom she played.
Note that in the past few months leading up to the film’s release, Zendaya has taken her press tour images to a new level and even inspired a new trend on social media called #TennisCore. The succession of stylish looks was non-stop – from a glittery mini dress and Loewe tennis shoes to a pink polo dress with a cut-out by designer Jacquemus. She even paid homage to Venus and Serena Williams by recreating a 1998 photo shoot of the two tennis star sisters in a Carolina Herrera ball gown and white beads in her hair.
As for the film “Challengers”, in which Zendaya not only played the lead role, but also co-produced, it has already received rave reviews. The film directed by Luca Guadagnino is expected to be a box office success.
