Eddie Murphy and his long-time girlfriend and mother of his two children Paige Butcher are officially husband and wife. The 63-year-old Oscar nominee and the 44-year-old Australian model wed last Tuesday, 9 July, People reports. The private ceremony, attended only by those closest to the couple (including Murphy’s children from a previous relationship) took place in Anguilla. For the exciting day, which Paige waited for six years – that’s how long it’s been since Murphy proposed to his beloved to become his wife – the bride chose ivory lace by designer Mira Zwillinger. Eddie, on the other hand, opted for a white Brioni suit.
Interestingly, despite the long list of novels, which can boast Murphy, this marriage for him is only the second. And Paige’s first. Butcher met the comedian, who is almost 20 years older than her, in 2012. At the same time between them and started a relationship. Two years later, they had a daughter Izzy – she is now eight. And in 2019 – son Max Charles.
Murphy was previously married to actress Nicole Mitchell Murphy – their marriage lasted 13 years. They divorced in 2006, but continued to raise their five children – Bria, Miles, Shane, Zola and Bella. Apart from them, Eddie has other children.
