Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have been nominated for Emmys in 16 categories, marking a record-breaking success for their series. To mark the occasion, the actress shared behind-the-scenes photos from the set of ‘The Morning Show.’ Despite their friendship in real life, their on-screen rivalry between their TV host characters is also escalating into a battle for honours after both received nominations for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Following the nominations announcement on Wednesday, Apple TV+ announced that an impressive 16 ‘Morning Show’ nominations – the most for the streaming service this year.
“Sweet 16,” Jennifer commented on the news of the nominations. – “I am so honoured and so proud of our show and all of our incredibly talented actors, directors and crew!”
Jennifer posted a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the series, where she wore an elegant sleeveless top with floral lace, which she accessorised with classic black trousers, while her colleague Reese favoured a black satin blouse with a matching mini skirt and jacket. Most of the Morning Show nominations this year are in the acting categories, so Jennifer highlighted her famous colleagues by tagging them on social media. Jon Hamm is nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Mark Duplass is nominated in the same category, and his film colleague Billy Crudup is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category. Actresses Nicole Beharie, Greta Lee, Karen Pittman and Holland Taylor are nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category. The 76th Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on 15 September 2024.
