According to Page Six, the 22-year-old son of former married actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, Levon, is making his debut on the theatre stage as a director. The production of “Movie Day” is the first full-length production of Quick & Dirty, a young theatre company founded last year by Artistic Director Booth McGowan.
Moreover, Levon not only directed but also wrote the script. The play will run at Coffey Street Studios in Red Hook, Brooklyn from 20 September to 6 October. The production, according to a press release, “explores themes of identity, sexuality and modern friendship of five roommates who will face incredible personal revelations over the course of a single day.”
Levon Hawke is a senior at the prestigious Brown University. The young man has already tried his hand at acting: he has starred in such projects as Zoe Kravitz’s “Blink Twice” and “The Hollow,” where he shared the screen with Juliette Lewis and Peter Dinklage from “Game of Thrones.”
Levon has caught the public’s eye on numerous occasions, including appearing alongside Uma on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, at the premiere of Johnny Depp’s high-profile Johnny Depp flick, “Jeanne Dubarry.” A few years earlier, he was also spotted at the Dior show, where he kept the star mother company.
Levon has an older sister, 26-year-old Maya Hawke, known for her roles in “Stranger Things,” “Asteroid City” and Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood.” This is the first child of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, who were married from 1998 to 2005.
