Blake Lively was given the opportunity to get in touch with an iconic piece of jewellery that once belonged to the late film legend Elizabeth Taylor. In a new photo shoot for September’s Vogue, Blake embodied the image of an impeccably dressed professional thief who steals not just any item, but the very same gold necklace studded with diamonds and rubies. The accompanying video to the photo set, which also featured actor Hugh Jackman, was shot by “Elvis” and “Romeo + Juliet” director Baz Luhrmann.
In the photo, where Blake portrays a robber, the actress is dressed in a black tight-fitting jumpsuit from Balenciaga, heeled shoes, a cap-cap from Hood London, leather gloves and sunglasses, and in her hands holds the legendary sparkling accessory. In another photo Lively poses together with Hugh, wearing a black vintage dress, which was also worn by Elizabeth in the past, but shows a different piece of jewellery – a necklace made exclusively of diamonds.
“I had Elizabeth Taylor’s necklace!” – Lively noted in the accompanying interview. – “I held it in my hands! So, there were people with special rubber pads on their fingers and a foam mat underneath me in case I dropped the necklace …”
On her social media, she also bragged about her new fashion experience.
“It’s a real Elizabeth Taylor necklace…. It’s unreal.”
