Legendary artist Cher was one of the main stars at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which took place on Saturday, 19 October. The performer of the hit ‘Believe’ joined the list of honoured inductees, and was supported on stage by actress Zendaya, who repeated Cher’s iconic look in a beaded gold dress with a transparent skirt with a high slit. The vintage Bob Mackie Couture dress from the designer’s autumn 2001 collection, titled ‘Foreign Intrigue’, was a reference to Cher’s iconic 1972 dress. The 28-year-old ‘Euphoria’ star completed the ensemble with a white satin coat, gold Christian Louboutin heels, gold bracelets and diamond earrings. She also made a hint of Cher’s look by styling her hair long and straight with a parting in the middle.
‘Bob Mackie Couture autumn 2001 collection, ‘Foreign Intrigue,’‘ the actress’ permanent stylist Lowe Roach wrote on social media. – ‘White silk satin trench coat with dramatic collar and cuffs embroidered with shimmering glass beads and stones. A revealing halter dress fully embroidered by hand with gold, diamond and shimmering glass beads and aurora borealus stones.’
The stylist shared a backstage video on social media showing Zendaya sending an air kiss to fans on camera while Cher’s ‘Dressed to Kill’ played in the background.
Zendaya took the stage as Cher, 78, gave a speech to mark her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the Performers category and later posed backstage with Dua Lipa. Celebrities at the event included Julia Roberts, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson and more.
