The striker of the Portuguese national football team and Saudi Arabia’s Al Nasr decided to show his children what a real winter is and celebrate Christmas in Santa Claus’ homeland – Lapland. The star family was met at the airport by a real sleigh pulled by reindeer and immediately taken to the Joulupukki Village. There Cristiano and his heirs listened to Christmas songs, enjoyed ginger biscuits and cocoa with marshmallows.

‘Cristiano has no matches, we enjoy this marvellous time. We are happy when we see the joy that Christmas brings to our children, how their eyes light up,’ – said the footballer’s wife Georgina Rodriguez.

After visiting Joulupukki, the athlete and his family travelled to Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, where they had a snowmobile and ski race. The family were so frozen in the cold that they hurried to warm themselves by the fire, while Cristiano wanted to take a steam in the bath, and afterwards – decided to dive into the icy ice hole.

‘Look where I am! It’s freezing. Minus 20 degrees. And the water is cold, but I’m getting ready to take a dip… Yes, it’s great!’ – Ronaldo said on the video, which he published on his social networks.
