A serious wildfire is raging in California, affecting upscale residential neighbourhoods. Evacuations have already begun.
The natural fire has engulfed, among others, the prestigious neighbourhood of Pacific Palisades, where many Hollywood celebrities live. And despite the fact that emergency services are working around the clock, dropping water tanks from helicopters, weather conditions do not allow them to extinguish the flames, which are spreading at an unprecedented rate. Firefighters say the fire covers an area the size of five football pitches in a minute.
Now the authorities are warning local residents that the worst is yet to come and calling for evacuation. Thus, more than 30,000 people are already obliged to leave their homes.
It is also reported that Pacific Palisades is rapidly turning into ashes, and in the meantime, many world famous people live there. Luxury mansions of Ben Affleck, Chris Pratt, Reese Witherspoon and Miles Teller are under threat. In addition, firefighters fear that the fire could spread to neighbouring Calabasas and Pasadena, where the Kardashian-Jenner family lives.
