The Princess of Wales missed last year’s prestigious film awards ceremony due to cancer treatment. Sources said that this year, the Princess of Wales will join the distinguished guests at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ main event on 16 February 2025, reports the Daily Mail.

Anna Higgs, chair of the BAFTA film committee, hopes Kate will attend the awards with husband Prince William, who is the president of BAFTA. The awards will be held at London’s Royal Festival Hall next month. Last year, William walked the red carpet without Kate.

The BAFTA Awards ceremony is a rare opportunity for the Prince and Princess of Wales to go public in social outfits. In 2023, Kate decided to redesign her white Alexander McQueen dress, which she first wore to the award ceremony in 2019. In this way, she emphasised the importance of an eco-friendly approach to fashion.
