Ever since Rosie Huntington-Whiteley walked in the Balmain show in September 2015, the model took a break from the catwalk and moved from the catwalk to the catwalk at Fashion Weeks, where she began to take front row seats of honour among the big names in fashion. And after ten years, during which Rosie managed to become a mum twice and head several business projects (including her own cosmetics line Rose Inc), the ex-angel of Victoria’s Secret took up the old again. The supermodel became one of the participants of the new Jean Paul Gaultier collection show in Paris.

In front of photographers Huntington-Whiteley appeared in a transparent black tulle dress with open shoulders and impressive cleavage. Rosie’s chiselled figure was emphasised by a corset made of woven net. The model’s outfit was the creation of Ludovic de Saint-Sernin, who was asked to reflect on the theme of shipwreck from a fashion perspective as the brand’s guest designer. The sculptural forms and interpretation of nautical motifs, which have become an integral part of Jean Paul Gaultier’s legacy, were praised by fashion critics. Rosie shared a clip from the show on social media, accompanying it with words of gratitude to the creator.

‘Returning to the catwalk for Le Naufrage. Congratulations to Ludovic de Saint-Sernin for an amazing show – I’m honoured to be part of your vision!’

The model’s spectacular catwalk appearance came after Rosie spoke about her return to London. After living in California for eleven years with Jason Statham, the couple have invested £15 million in three luxury homes in London. In an interview with the Telegraph last October, she revealed that the experience had been ‘enlightening’.

‘Coming back to the UK has been a real challenge for us. The fact that we could get out of the house and buy a coffee and a loaf of bread without the paparazzi interfering was very important to us. In LA, we were followed on our heels by five cars all the way to the gym. Both Jason and I felt it was very important for our children that our work didn’t affect them. We wanted our kids to have a childhood as far away from the cameras as possible. Because I’ve seen celebrity kids whose parents didn’t give them that choice. It’s Jack and Bella’s choice if they want to live in the public eye. If they want to, it won’t be a problem. But I was always afraid that one day my son would turn to me and say, ‘You and Daddy didn’t protect me, I don’t want that’.’
