Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are one of the most secretive couples when it comes to their children. Despite the fact that the couple at least occasionally, but talk about their experience of parenthood, there are things that the stars prefer to keep to themselves. Such things were until recently the sex and name of their little baby, born in February 2023. The stars then did not even confirm the fact of the baby’s birth – the public learnt about the addition to the family thanks to the photo of Taylor Swift.
All this time Reynolds and Lively avoided questions about the baby. But at the recent premiere of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine,’ the actor so sympathised that he dedicated his speech to his wife and children. And in it, he revealed the name of his youngest child.
“I want to start by saying I want to thank my wife Blake, who is here. I want to thank my children James, Inez, Betty, Olina, who are here right now. I hope that if I’m lucky, this moment, I mean the content of the film, will be the most traumatic event that could ever happen in your wonderful life,” he joked from the stage.
A few days later, in an interview with Walking4Hope founder John Bell, whose tragically deceased son was a huge Deadpool fan, Ryan confirmed: with the unusual Scandinavian name Olin, he and Blake named their son.
“I want to share with you that I have a son too, and if I love him even a tenth as much as you love Jake, I feel like I’ve done a hell of a job,” Ryan said.
Despite his young age, Olin has already managed to star alongside his father in films. He and his sister Inez played the roles of Babypool and Kidpool in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ – their names can be seen in the credits. But you can hardly see their faces on the big screen – they are hidden under masks. And this was one of the conditions of the star parents.
Recall, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively together since 2011. In September, they will celebrate the 12th anniversary of their wedding, which took place in South Carolina.
