Jennifer Lopez, 52, and Ben Affleck, 49, wed last weekend in a small white chapel in Las Vegas around midnight. What’s more, they got in line to get married along with other couples. By the way, Jennifer decided not to sell the details of the wedding to the tabloids, but to tell fans in person how it went.
“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And, it turns out, love is patient. We flew to Las Vegas last night, where we waited in line for the wedding along with four other couples.” – JLo wrote afterwards in her newsletter On The JLo.
At the venue, Jennifer and Ben exchanged touching vows and rings in front of other amazed newlyweds. By the way, Lopez changed two wedding outfits at once during the day. The first was a snow-white sleeveless archive dress, which Lopez got after filming one of her movies. And later she shone in a lace Zuhair Murad wedding dress with open shoulders and long sleeves, as well as a heart-shaped neckline, corset bodice and fishtail train.
“So, with the best witnesses we could imagine, we recited our own vows in the little chapel and exchanged the rings we will wear for the rest of our lives.” – Jennifer added
Jennifer and Ben were also photographed in a pink Cadillac, legend has it that once belonged to Elvis Presley.
“They graciously lingered for a few minutes, allowing us to be photographed in a pink Cadillac with a convertible that apparently was once used by the King himself,” Jennifer noted, “They even had Bluetooth for a short wedding march. But it was the best wedding we could have imagined! The one we had dreamed of a long time ago and the one that became a reality.”
“When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is just the two of you and the promises we make: to love, to care, to understand, to be patient and kind. We have that. And so much more. The best night of our lives. Love is a great thing, maybe the best thing of all, and worth waiting for,” a happy Jennifer concluded.
