Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande, Hailey Bieber, Scarlett Johansson, the Kardashian sisters… Apparently, when even Brad Pitt started his own beauty business, Jared Leto gave up. The lead singer of 30 Seconds To Mars is launching a line of facial cosmetics to be called Twentynine Palms. It’s inspired by a town in California, home to Jared’s beloved Joshua Tree National Park. The products were developed with Kate Forbes, former head of innovation at Aesop.
Reportedly, it will be a unisex line of 11 skin, body and hair care products: a facial cleanser, moisturising face cream, moisturising serum, soothing clay mask, hand wash and shower gel, as well as shampoos and conditioners. The new products will be available to order on the Twentynine Palms website, as well as at Dover Street Market shops in New York, Los Angeles and London. The composition includes botanical extracts of opuntia, aloe and evening primrose, ceramides and the creams contain retinol.
On this occasion, the site of American Vogue released a large profile, which is either about cosmetics or about Jared’s not-so-young age.
“Jared Leto’s desert-inspired beauty debut is more than a mirage… At 50, Leto has porcelain skin, he is like a Renaissance cherub,” writes journalist Liam Hess. – “He is vegan, doesn’t drink alcohol, doesn’t drink caffeine and is obsessed with sport. He is the new apostle of wellness.”
This is where everyone should be wary as to whether new cosmetics will help maintain youthfulness.
“I’ve never really been interested in cosmetics,” confesses Jared. – “But I am interested in the idea of taking care of myself in the most natural way possible.”
In the future, the team plans to expand production and add fragrances, home products and design items to the range.
