At 84, Sir Anthony Hopkins is a veritable star of the social media and fashion industries. The proof is in the new Loewe advertising campaign, where the actor poses in a T-shirt printed with multi-coloured frosted doughnuts, tailored trousers and retro-style Flow trainers. He looks cool, smiling and pointing his finger at a voluminous Anagram bag with rivets. He looks equally cool in a Loewe sweatshirt, posing in front of plants and a concrete wall.

In addition to Hopkins, the advertisement, shot by legendary photographer Juergen Teller, features Kaia Gerber, Josh O’Connor, Jessie Buckley, Caroline Polacek, Linda Benglis, Hyun Ah, Maya Nakanishi and others. As they pose in foam-filled bathtubs, old-school beauty salons and Schwarzenegger-style gyms, the characters highlight the design team’s penchant for fashion sass – worth the denim boots, parrot prints and clunky Bigfoot jackets they created.

Jonathan Anderson was creative director for the Loewe Pre-Fall 2022 shoot and Benjamin Bruno was in charge of styling.
