Sources for Hollywood Life report that 34-year-old Rihanna is designing her own line of stylish maternity clothes, which she will launch under the Savage X Fenty brand.

“Rihanna is working on a line of maternity clothes for women,” an insider close to the singer told Hollywood Life, “She was told that during her pregnancy she became a role model for a huge number of women who, inspired by her style, rejected stereotypes of what is acceptable to wear while pregnant. She was really touched by this. She has featured pregnant models many times in Fenty ads and wants to change the attitude to this period by creating a brand that makes women feel sexy and beautiful during pregnancy.”

Rihanna, who gave birth to a baby boy on May 13, has pioneered the world of maternity fashion with her bold and creative take on her own looks. We all remember how the singer announced the impending addition – photos of her walking around New York City with A$AP Rocky in a vintage pink Chanel coat with a naked belly have surfaced online.

Rihanna has experimented with outfits throughout her pregnancy – she has tried on short tops, tight-fitting dresses and bold lingerie sets. She told Vogue that she doesn’t want to limit her stylish choices and would never shop for maternity clothes.

“I hope we have been able to rethink what is considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women,” she said in an interview for the May cover, “Incredible things are happening to my body and I’m not going to be ashamed of it. This is supposed to be a time of celebration. Why do you have to hide your pregnancy? When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself: “There’s no way I’m going shopping in any maternity section. I’m sorry, but dressing up is too much fun.”
