Models.com has summed up the results of the past year and announced its ranking of the world’s best models. This time, viewers agreed with the jury, which included prominent fashion journalists and designers, and unanimously recognised 26-year-old Bella Hadid as the leader. Not surprisingly, this year Bella has starred in countless photo shoots, taken part in dozens of fashion shows, and has also become the first model in history to catwalk in a “liquid” dress – this memorable moment from the Coperni show has quickly gone viral.
Bella Hadid was also voted Social Mover of the Year by the audience for her public outreach. This year she has repeatedly spoken out publicly about her Lyme disease, stress and self-acceptance.
Also included in the ranking were models Adut Akech, Vittoria Ceretti, Mila van Eten, Quanna Chasinghorse, Matilda Guarliani, “Euphoria” star Hunter Schaefer and Linda Evangelista, who received a special award for her contribution to the fashion industry. Among this year’s professional jury members were Edward Enninful, editor-in-chief of British Vogue; Katie Grand, stylist and founder of Love Magazine; designer Christopher John Rogers and others.
