Apple Martin, daughter and exact replica of her mother Gwyneth Paltrow, was the star at Chanel’s spring/summer couture show. Styled in a grunge glam style, Apple completed her Chanel tweed outfit with eyeliner and slightly styled hair. As a certified Chanel girl, Apple found herself in equally fashionable company, taking her place alongside Lucy Boynton and Sadie Sink.

Quirky, light-hearted and romantic, Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2023 haute couture collection is a joyful interpretation of parades and spectacle. The collection is youthful and easy to wear, but with all the traditional Chanel couture hallmarks. Day suits in tweed, this time with shimmering gold and metallic threads; hats teamed with silk tulle; beaded dresses that begs to be twirled. To create the collection, Virginie Viard found inspiration in Gabrielle Chanel’s flat on Rue Cambon – particularly in the collectibles, works of art and sculptures scattered around the room. Kittens, corgis and swallows were embroidered on tweed suits alongside the House emblems and their involvement in the playful collection was reflected in the set design; models walked around the wooden and cardboard animal sculptures like ringmakers. The show concluded with swallows embroidered onto the veil for this season’s Chanel brides.
