Gwyneth Paltrow was a guest on the podcast The Art of Being Healthy. The founder of the brand Goop revealed how she takes care of herself. The actress was asked to name the strangest wellness trend she has ever followed.

“I’ve been using ozone therapy, rectally. It’s pretty weird,” Paltrow admitted.

The actress noted that the ozone therapy was good for her, but did not elaborate on exactly what she used it for. In addition, Gwyneth admitted that for breakfast she drinks only a cup of coffee, a protein shake or almost half a litre of fresh celery juice without any additional additives. The actress believes this is the key to clean and healthy skin. Gwyneth also believes these drinks help get rid of autoimmune diseases.

“I think beauty and wellness are inextricably linked,” says Paltrow, who begins every day with a Transcendental Meditation class.

She says she didn’t start taking care of her skin in her teens but looks after it towards her 40s. Paltrow also makes time for an infrared sauna almost every day. Many pundits have criticised the star for such an approach. But she firmly believes the sauna helps her relax, de-stress, improve her wellbeing and boost her energy. It’s also where the actress gets her dry-brush massage.

“It is an incredible exfoliating and invigorating tool, it helps blood circulation and triggers the detoxification process.”

Gwyneth Paltrow also admitted she fell in love with the broth diet after losing 11 pounds. The drink, which is rich in collagen and amino acids, helped the star to normalise her weight. Broth made from bones, sinews and cartilage is cooked over low heat for 6 to 24 hours.
