On June 7, the first trailer for the fourth installment of the cult action franchise The Expend4bles appeared online. Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture have returned to their legendary roles. In addition to the characters already familiar to fans, new characters have joined the cast, to be played by ‘Transformers’ star Megan Fox and American rapper 50 Cent.

In the trailer, Megan’s character first engages in a battle with Statham’s character and then joins the Expendables on their final mission. Such a twist suggests that the heroine has been given a fair amount of screen time.

The Expend4bles was directed by Scott Waugh, who worked on Bicentennial Man with Robin Williams. Besides Hollywood superstars, the cast of the film includes actors such as Tony Jaa, Jacob Scipio, Levi Tran, Eddie Hall, Iko Yuwais and Andy Garcia. Liam Neeson and Steven Seagal were also cast in the franchise. Lionsgate Film Company was responsible for the production. Recall that the first part of “The Expendables” was released in 2010. After collecting a huge box office, in 2012 the creators have decided to release a sequel. The third episode premiered two years later, in 2014. By the way, after the second film Bruce Willis left his role in the franchise, giving way to Harrison Ford.
