Singer Rihanna, who is currently expecting her second child with rapper A$AP Rocky, has become the face of Louis Vuitton’s new men’s collection. The line is the debut for rapper Pharrell Williams as the brand’s creative director. A still from the shoot appeared on an advertising billboard on the façade of the Musée d’Orsay in Paris. The musician himself posed proudly in front of it. He shared the shot on his social networks.

Rihanna appeared in a promotional video in a leather shirt, not completely buttoned up, and exposing a visibly rounded belly. The singer is holding bags with recognisable brand monograms in red, yellow and green shades as well as a paper cup of coffee.

Williams took over as creative director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s line two years after the death of his predecessor Virgil Ablo. He passed away in 2021. Prior to Farrell’s appointment, the position was unoccupied. Back then, the brand’s design team was responsible for the collections. The musician will debut a show of the line on 20 June on the opening day of Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

In his work with the brand, Farrell plans to push the boundaries of fashion. This is what he has been doing for the past 20 years as the designer of several of his own brands. The show will take place on the Pont Neuf bridge, which starts just outside the Parisian headquarters of Louis Vuitton.

Rihanna has long had close ties with conglomerate LVMH, which owns Louis Vuitton. The holding company includes her cosmetics empire Fenty Beauty. Through sales of cosmetics and clothing, the singer has become the youngest self-made billionaire in the US.
