On the third Sunday in June, Father’s Day is celebrated around the world, and social media feeds on that day are littered with touching family photos from the family album. The British royal family was not left out – Kensington Palace published two absolutely adorable shots of Prince William and his children – 9-year-old Prince George, 8-year-old Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who recently turned five.

In a cute family photo taken at Windsor Manor by photographer Millie Palkington, the Prince of Wales is the very epitome of paternal love. He is hugging the older children, who are sitting on either side of him, with the youngest, Prince Louis, on his lap. This shot complements another, more informal one. It shows the children looking up at their daddy and smiling, while Louis, with all his spontaneity, hugs William’s neck and laughs.

Despite being only fourth in line to the throne – after his father and brother and sister – Louis has already won the hearts of the British. Largely thanks to his ridiculous childish antics, which dilute the serious official events the royal family attend. At yesterday’s Trooping the Colour King’s birthday parade, he once again grabbed the spotlight. Standing with his relatives on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, Louis made cute grimaces, apparently imagining himself as a pilot of planes flying over the palace.
