Dua Lipa believes despite the emergence of the #MeToo movement, which fights against violence against women, they are still very vulnerable in many situations.
“#MeToo or not, it’s still scary to be a woman and walk alone at night down an empty street on your way home. I have so many memories of those instances where you hold your keys at the ready, or take your bag, or pretend to be on the phone… I don’t know if that will ever change,” she said.

“I feel a lot of solidarity with what women go through. I think a lot of people realise that all this domination has been around for centuries. And realising that can make a difference. So the cause is moving in the right direction, but there’s still a lot of work to be done.”
