After a four-year hiatus, legendary designer Ralph Lauren made a triumphant return to the New York Fashion Week catwalk with a new collection and an impressive list of celebrity guests who gathered for the occasion at the ranch-style Brooklyn Navy Yard. The outfits of the guests, by the way, also corresponded to the concept. Cara Delevingne, Emma Roberts and Elsa Hosk tried on cowgirl outfits. Julianne Moore opted for a more austere outfit, throwing a black jacket over a glittering dress.
The main star of the evening was Jennifer Lopez. The 54-year-old singer staked on a playful transparent blouse, the top buttons of which she left unbuttoned, a layered skirt with a floral print in pastel colours and a beige jacket with fringe. J.Lo chose a layered silver boho-style necklace, a brown belt with a large buckle and a golden metallic clutch.
It’s worth noting that Lopez took her place in the front row for a reason – she’s a long-time fan of the brand. During her wedding to Ben Affleck last August, Jennifer changed as many as three Ralph Lauren dresses. The wedding garment, in which the singer walked down the aisle, was a modernised dress from the couturier’s collection – the ruffles of the tight-fitting outfit consisted of thousands of silk handkerchiefs sewn by hand.
