Awards day happened to Australian pop diva Kylie Minogue. On 24 January, Thursday, it became known that the artist was nominated for the Brit Awards as International Artist of the Year, which was her first nomination in the UK in 13 years. And just hours later, Minogue won Billboard’s Women in Music 2024 and thanked the award and fans for the win.

“It just keeps getting better and better today! What a huge honour to receive a Billboard award,” she wrote on her blog.

The Queen of Pop was congratulated on social media not only by fans but also by stars. Canadian singer Shania Twain and socialite Paris Hilton noted Minogue’s merits in the comments and congratulated the singer on her win. Kylie is also up for a Grammy Award, which will be held next month. The singer of the hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” is nominated in the Best Pop Dance Recording category. Several pop divas will be vying for the win, including Olivia Rodrigo, Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.

Originally from Melbourne, Minogue has always been outspoken about her ambitions to conquer the difficult US music market. In an interview with The Sun recently, Kylie revealed that she has a lot of plans.

“I don’t know if I’m a stadium artiste, but it might be a good time to put the trumps on the table. I’d love to do an amazing show,” the singer admitted.

Minogue’s ambitions are well worth it. The star said she is thinking about a large-scale concert after wowing fans with a powerful performance at Capital’s Summer Time Ball show at the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium in the UK.
