Jennifer Love Hewitt has excited fans with her return to the screens, but not only as an actress, but also as the director of a film titled Obsessed with the Holidays. She will also be executive producing the film from a script by Anna White, who has based the story of Love Hewitt’s personal relationship with her mother. Jennifer last worked with Lifetime when she starred in the television series The Client List (2012-2013), which ran for two seasons.

The film will be Love Hewitt’s first feature-length project as a director. The story is about a girl Andi, who together with her mother Mimi runs a company that provides services for decorating festive events. Her world comes crashing down when Mimi dies and she has to do the festivities without her beloved mother. Faced with the challenges of running her own business, she will take on the task of organising a Christmas unlike any other and may find love.

“Lifetime and our viewers adore Jennifer,” said Elaine Frontein Bryant, executive vice president of Lifetime and LMN. – “We are thrilled to work with her again on a special project that is near and dear to her heart.”

The film is based on the real-life biography of the actress, who shared memories of her mother, who passed away at 67 in 2012 from cancer. Love Hewitt will play one of the lead roles alongside her husband Brian Hallisay, and their three children have also been given small roles.

“The opportunity to direct and star in this film with my husband is a special honour,” Hewitt said.

The actress is currently playing the role of Maddie Kendall on the popular Fox series ‘9-1-1,’ which is on summer hiatus.
