Actor Tom Holland has officially kicked off production on the next Spider-Man film, titled “Spider-Man: A Brand New Day,” and shared the first glimpses from the set. The 29-year-old star returns as Peter Parker, filming scenes in Glasgow, Scotland.
Holland posted photos on his social media accounts captioned, “Spider-Man, day one.” The images show the actor in his familiar Spider-Man costume, standing on a truck suspended by wires, presumably preparing for a stunt, while conversing with crew members.

Notably visible in the bottom right corner of one photo is director Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on “Short Term 12” and Marvel’s “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” who is helming this new installment.
While Holland’s return is confirmed, it remains unclear whether his fiancée, Zendaya, will reprise her role as MJ in the franchise. The pair famously met during the production of the previous Spider-Man films.
The Glasgow shoot has also attracted public attention, with bystanders capturing videos of the ongoing filming activities and sharing them online. This follows news from the day before filming commenced, where Holland, in collaboration with Sony Pictures, officially presented his new Spider-Man suit for the upcoming movie. The project marks Holland’s highly anticipated return to the iconic superhero role.
