“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have become parents for the first time. In an official social media announcement, the 21-year-old actress revealed that she and her 23-year-old husband have adopted a baby girl. The couple married a year ago and now primarily reside on a farm in Georgia.
“This summer we adopted our sweet girl,” Millie announced in a post on Thursday. “We are incredibly excited to begin this beautiful new chapter of parenting in peace and privacy,” she continued, confirming their family of three.

Earlier this summer, while appearing on the “Smartless” podcast with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes, Millie hinted that motherhood was certainly on the horizon, despite her young age.
“I’m still very young, but my mom had her first child at 21, my dad was 19, and you know, I dreamed of being a mom even before I met Jake,” she shared. “I wanted to be the same kind of mom that my mom and my grandmother were to me—she played a huge role in my life.”
Millie added that Jake shares her views on parenting but emphasized that she also wants to focus on her ongoing career as an actress and producer, which began when she was a teenager.
“Jake knows how important this is to me, and of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actress and producer, but I also believe it’s very important to build a family. Personally, it means a lot to me. I really want a big family.”
