Singer Harry Styles surprised the running world by completing the Berlin Marathon incognito this past Sunday, September 21st. The Grammy Award winner participated under the pseudonym “Stead Sarandos” and achieved a significant personal milestone by finishing the 42.2-kilometer race in under three hours.

Styles crossed the finish line with an official time of 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 13 seconds. This performance marks a substantial improvement from his previous marathon effort, where he completed the Tokyo Marathon six months ago in 3 hours, 24 minutes, and 7 seconds.

In an effort to blend in with the thousands of other participants, Styles wore a simple disguise consisting of sunglasses and a headband to conceal his signature curly hair. His running attire included a long-sleeved shirt, black shorts, and red sneakers. Race organizers later confirmed the One Direction alumnus’s participation in the event.

The Berlin Marathon was won by Sabastian Sawe, who set the fastest time of the day at 2 hours, 2 minutes, and 16 seconds. Styles’s anonymous participation and impressive personal achievement have since become a major talking point among both his fans and the running community.
