Singer and entrepreneur Jessica Simpson is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her wildly successful Jessica Simpson Collection. To mark the occasion, the star gave an exclusive interview to People magazine, reflecting on the journey of her brand, which she launched at the age of 25.

“We became the little engine that could,” Simpson told the publication, addressing early skeptics. “Some people thought it wouldn’t stand the test of time, but I feel like people have always thought that about me. I’m a wonder soloist.”

The numbers tell a story of remarkable success. Over the past two decades, the brand has sold more than 100 million pairs of shoes, and her clothing is available in 20,000 retail stores worldwide. What began with signature cowboy boots and boho-style tops has expanded into a vast empire encompassing over 50 product categories.

The 45-year-old star sees a parallel between her personal life and the evolution of her brand. “I feel like I’ve been through a lot,” she stated. “The brand has gone through it with me. Whether it was having children or losing weight, we just lived through it together.”

Now, following her separation from NFL player Eric Johnson, Simpson revealed she is ready to date again – and would naturally wear her own designs for the occasion. “I would wear a leopard dress on a date and definitely heels,” she concluded, showcasing the confident, personal style that has become synonymous with her brand’s identity.
