Cardi B is entering August with fresh music. The Grammy-winning rapper released her surprise single “AH HA” on July 31, marking her first new track since the release of her second album, Am I the Drama?, in September 2025.

The song arrives only days after Cardi teased it with a beachside video that quickly went viral, collecting more than 81 million views online. Built around a sharp, confident beat, “AH HA” finds the rapper responding to critics with her signature humour, bravado and rapid-fire delivery.

Its accompanying lyric video continues the summer mood. An animated version of Cardi performs on a beach in a bikini featuring the flag of the Dominican Republic, celebrating her heritage while reinforcing the track’s playful, self-assured energy.

A new chapter after a record-breaking tour

“AH HA” follows a major touring milestone for the artist. Cardi recently completed The Little Miss Drama Tour, her first US arena tour and the live campaign supporting Am I the Drama?

The sold-out run ended on April 18 after selling more than 450,000 tickets across North America. It became the highest-grossing debut arena tour by a female rapper, further confirming Cardi’s position as one of the defining figures in contemporary hip-hop.

Her momentum continued at the 2026 BET Awards, where she won Best Female Hip Hop Artist for the third time. Cardi also delivered a medley from her latest album, performing “Errtime,” “Hello,” “Check Please” and “Pretty & Petty.”

‘Am I the Drama?’ becomes another career milestone

Cardi’s second album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making her the first female rapper whose first two albums both reached the top of the chart. Her debut, Invasion of Privacy, achieved the same result in 2018.

Am I the Drama? has since generated more than 14 billion streams worldwide and set a record for the highest number of Billboard Hot 100 entries by a female rap album.

The rapper has also remained highly visible beyond the tour. On July 25, she returned to the stage for a one-night performance celebrating the opening of Pacha in New York, appearing in a vivid pink corseted bodysuit with matching tights, platform heels and an icy blue bob.

With “AH HA,” Cardi B is not beginning an entirely new era so much as extending one that is already proving commercially powerful. The single carries forward the personality that has defined her career: provocative, funny and completely comfortable taking control of the conversation.
