Madonna celebrated her 68th birthday in unmistakable style, escaping to the Greek island of Corfu for a sun-soaked family holiday with her children and boyfriend Akeem Morris.

The pop icon marked the occasion on August 16 surrounded by some of the people closest to her, later sharing a series of intimate photographs from the trip — from glamorous birthday looks and dancing to family dinners and a spectacular heart-shaped cake.

A Mediterranean birthday in Corfu

For this year’s celebration, Madonna chose the privacy and natural beauty of Corfu, staying at Villa Ortholithi, a secluded estate on the island.

The setting offered a distinctly Mediterranean backdrop to the festivities: warm summer evenings, local streets, outdoor dinners and relaxed moments with family.

Madonna embraced the atmosphere in a colourful floral-embroidered Dolce & Gabbana dress, styled with a dramatic bright pink floral headpiece.

The look combined the theatricality long associated with her public image with the romantic mood of a Greek summer.

Family at the centre of the celebration

Five of Madonna’s six children joined her in Greece.

Her daughter Lourdes Leon, 29, and son Rocco Ritchie, 26, appeared alongside Mercy James, 20, and 13-year-old twins Stella and Estere.

The family was photographed together during evenings out in Corfu, while other images captured more spontaneous moments from the birthday festivities.

In one particularly warm scene, Lourdes and Rocco danced hand in hand as musicians performed nearby.

Rocco and Mercy also helped present their mother with her birthday cake.

Madonna’s son David Banda, 20, was not pictured in the images shared from the trip.

Akeem Morris joins the family getaway

Madonna’s boyfriend, Akeem Morris, 30, was also part of the celebration.

The couple were photographed sitting together during the birthday dinner, while Morris also appeared alongside Stella and Estere during the festivities.

Their relationship has become increasingly visible over the past few years, with Morris accompanying Madonna on several holidays and family occasions.

For her 68th, Greece became the next chapter.

The family getaway comes during another significant moment in Madonna’s career.

The singer leads the nominations for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards with 11 nominations, putting her ahead of every other artist this year.

Her nominations span some of the ceremony’s biggest categories, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Collaboration for “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter.

She is also nominated for Video of the Year for Confessions II: The Film.
