‘The Morning Show’ star Reese Witherspoon recalled her other iconic look from the film “Legally Blonde” – Elle Woods – the other day. At an event for her production company Shine Away, she looked very feminine in a pale pink short-sleeved dress with a belted waist. Reese left her trademark long blonde hair loose and completed the look with a ring and a pair of earrings.

Witherspoon spoke about her first steps in Hollywood during a discussion with her best friend Laura Dern and actress Octavia Spencer. The star shared insights into the early days of her career and the tough road ahead, even after success in films such as Man on the Moon and Upstart, as well as a guest role on the TV series Friends. She founded the production company Hello Sunshine when she was 34 and admitted she spent her first 20 years in Hollywood just trying to find work.

“I didn’t have time to look at the bigger things, like what is our business? How do they make money? Wait, why aren’t there roles for women? – She said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. – Like, why don’t I see any writers offering a different point of view? And that got me thinking. ‘When I was 34, I already had enough of a foundation within our business, I also had enough money to start financing, and I thought, ‘I’m not going to take money from people who don’t want the change that I want to see,’’ she added.

The Hollywood blonde noted that such a bold journey did not come easy for her.

“It was scary because I didn’t know if it would all pay off. Every day I woke up thinking, ‘Oh my God, I’m not going to get my money back.’ But I’d rather bet on myself and lose that money by working hard. I’d wake up every morning and think, ‘I’m my own lottery ticket,’’ she concluded.

Reese has produced numerous hits over the years, starting with acquiring the film rights to ‘Vanished’ and ‘Wild’ in 2014. It was on the set of ‘Wild’ that Witherspoon met Laura Dern, who admitted that she doesn’t make a move without consulting her friend Reese.
