Ella Bleu Travolta, 24, has released her first mini album, co-produced by her father. To celebrate, the young star shot for the fashion publication and tried on a Chanel outfit consisting of a grey jacket and black mini dress.
‘I am honoured, thank you Hunger,’ she wrote on social media.
Ella is the only daughter of John and his late wife Kelly Preston. In addition to her, John is raising son Benjamin, who recently turned 14. The couple also had a son, Jett, who was born in 1992 and passed away at the age of 16. The family went through many trials after Jett passed away in 2009 and Kelly passed away after battling breast cancer in 2020. Despite all these tragedies, Travolta’s family is still very close-knit.
‘I love working with my dad. He’s amazing and so caring because he’s been in the industry before, so he knows how to guide me in that sense,’ Ella reported.
It was John who encouraged her to release her songs when Ella thought it was just a simple hobby.
‘I had a bunch of voice memos on my phone with little snippets of songs I wanted to finish, or just a little melody or a few lines,’ she shared on the Today show. – ‘And then my dad listened to one of them and said: ‘You know, you should finish one of these songs. You should finish it.’ So that gave me a little bit of confidence.’
Ella released the singles ‘Dizzy’ in 2022 and ‘Little Bird’ in 2024, the latter of which was written in honour of her late mother.
‘It was a kind of message from a chick to a bird mum and also to herself,’ Ella explained.
